Mewtwo is a rare and powerful Psychic-type Pokémon that was first introduced in Pokémon Red and Blue. It was one of the first "legendary" Pokémon introduced in the anime.

Many fans consider it to be the strongest psychic-type Pokémon. Its most popular and valuable trading cards date back to the early days of Pokémon, from the Base Set to the Black & White expansions. 

The first Mewtwo card was released in Japan in 1997 and in the US in 1999. It was a part of the Fossil set and was highly sought-after by collectors. It is a rare holo card—which means it has a rainbow-like reflective coating—making it more desirable than the standard versions.
